October is Illinois Arts & Humanities Month!
The Illinois Arts Council Agency (IACA) and the Illinois Humanities Council (IHC) are pleased to present Illinois Arts & Humanities (AH!) Month. In October 2013, a statewide celebration encouraging Illinoisans to consider and actively share how the arts and humanities provide opportunities for thinking and imagination, for creativity and discovery, and for good citizenship.
Our state is rich with opportunities to enjoy the arts and humanities, and our AH! Month calendar of events below lists these opportunities, with events taking place across Illinois in October 2013.
If you would like to be listed on this calendar, please fill out and submit the online form. You can submit more than one event to the calendar. Download the AH! Month logo, to let your audiences know your event is part of a statewide celebration!
Take advantage this month and visit your local museum, art gallery, historical site, theater, or cultural center, or check out a book from your local library. Attend a public lecture or enjoy the resources from your local college or university.
We'd love to hear from you how you are celebrating AH! 2013. Use the hashtag #ILAH on twitter, or posting information on the IHC and IACA Facebook pages. For more information about the Illinois Arts Council Agency, please visit their website.
