Anita Nagler was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (1993 to 2005) of Harris Alternatives L.L.C., an investment management firm specializing in the hedge fund industry and as Partner of Harris Associates, its affiliate, a value equity investment manager. From 1980 through 1993, she worked as an attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission at its Chicago and Los Angeles Regional Offices. For five of these years she served as the Associate Regional Administrator in charge of the Chicago office's enforcement program. Nagler is currently a member of the Board of the State Farm Mutual Funds as well as the boards of trustees of the Illinois Institute of Technology and Sacred Heart Academy. Nagler has an undergraduate degree in social work from the University of Illinois at Urbana and a J.D. in law from the Chicago-Kent College of Law. Her original interests were in public interest law, but she then became interested in finance. She lives in Lincoln Park with her husband, Robert Moyer, who is the retired CEO of Driehaus Capital Management. They are very interested and active in the local art community, particularly the Oxbow School, which is affiliated with the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
