is a native Altonian who is honored for his commitment to the redevelopment of historic downtown Alton and the preservation of the town''s heritage. Mr. Jacoby serves as the President of the National Great Rivers Museum located at Alton Lock and Dam 206, a $6 million project slated to open in 2004 that will showcase the region's critical role in westward expansion. In addition, as Chairman of the Lakefront Advisory Committee, Mr. Jacoby has been instrumental in the revitalization of the Downtown/Riverfront Area in Alton.
