is an individual who has dedicated over twenty years of her life to making Cary, Illinois a better place to live for all its residents. She has served her community in numerous ways throughout her lifetime and turned her love for public service into many positive improvements throughout the community. Ms. Pichen was a founding member of Cary''s Cemetery Board. The Cemetery Board is responsible for the upkeep and record keeping of the Cary Cemetery. In addition, some Cemetery Board members give informational tours of the Cemetery to residents and school children. Ms. Pichen was a major contributor to the most expansive record of Cary history ever created, Cary Me Back, that is a prized possession of both past and present Cary residents. The book details Cary''s 100-year history from 1893-1993. Ms. Pichen has also done work with the Cary Arts Commission which sponsors an annual arts celebration highlighting the work of local artists and children and incorporates live musicians and dancers.
