As Village Historian for the community of Divernon, David Brady educates his fellow citizens about the heritage of their Village. He was Chairman of the Village''s Centennial Committee and spearheaded fundraising efforts for the Centennial Celebration in July of 2000. Mr. Brady gives generously of his time to give talks about the Village''s history to numerous organizations throughout the community, including Village Board meetings, local school districts, and the Lion''s Club. When Divernon renovated their railroad depot, Mr. Brady gave lectures on what life was like in Divernon in the early 1900''s. He was also instrumental in providing the history of the Village for a book that was published about Divernon in honor of their Centennial celebration. This volume was published in the spring of 2000.
