Dolores Nielsen is honored for her work with the Addison Historical Society and serves as the Chairman of the Addison Historical Commission. Through her efforts, the Village has acquired and rehabilitated two 1890''s vintage Addison homes. One of these structures was the original office of Addison Township and now houses the Village''s Museum. Ms. Nielsen was instrumental in the relocation and set up of the new Museum location, and continues to volunteer her time to create displays of historical artifacts and organize "living history" programs that educate Addison''s citizens about their heritage.
