Although Don Webb has been active in many areas of bettering civic life in Waggoner, he is honored with the Studs Terkel Humanities Service Award for his efforts to preserve and celebrate the history and heritage of his community. At Mr. Webb''s urging, the Village created a park board to save the Waggoner School building and convert it into a community center. Mr. Webb has also served as the Chairman for the Village''s Centennial celebration, which drew nearly 5,000 people to the Village of 250 residents! He was also very successful in organizing the Ethnic Festival in Waggoner, which celebrated the food and cultures of ethnicities in the area. He also created The Waggoner Dinner Theater, an annual event that has been going strong for 14 years.
