Elmer C. Stille is honored for his dedication to preserving the heritage of Granite City and its surrounding region. As Past President and current Treasurer of the Old Six Mile Historical Society, Mr. Stille keeps the history of Granite City fresh for area residents, old and young. The Old Six Mile Museum boasts a lively schedule of tours and events, in most of which Mr. Stille takes an active part. He also serves as Treasurer of the Madison County Historical Society, and was Chairman of Granite City''s Centennial Celebration in 1996.
