As a member of the governing Board of Advocate Christ Hospital & Medical Center, a member of the Oak Lawn Parks Foundation, and a long time leader at the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce and Trinity Lutheran Church, James Buschbach contributes in so many ways to the civic vitality of his community. He is recognized with the Studs Terkel Humanities Service Award for his help in founding and sustaining the Oak Lawn Children's Museum,. Along with his wife JoAnn, Mr. Buschbach gave gifts of both time and financial support to the Museum, which thanks to the generosity of the Buschbachs will soon be housed in an 11,000 square foot building in the center of town.
