Joel Ryser has been an art teacher at the City of Moline's high school for eighteen years. He is dedicated to the arts community and has been involved in several art projects around town. As an instructor, he does an exceptional job in promoting the arts and educating local youth on the importance of the arts. Last year Mr. Ryser led his class in a project to promote the annual ?Ride the River? community event. The project's mission was to decorate an antique bike for display to help promote the upcoming event. Mr. Ryser's class decorated an antique bike with pieces of colored glass. The bike served as the City of Moline's bike and was displayed in a prominent place for the community to view.
