Joseph S. Dalida is honored for his passion for local history, a passion that has helped preserve Georgetown''s history. Mr. Dalida has taught many in the community where they come from, and inspired many local citizens to become interested in their town''s past. He has been involved for nearly 25 years with the activities at the City of Georgetown''s Historical House. As such, Mr. Dalida played an important role in relating the history of Georgetown to local citizens during their 150th and 175th town celebration. A former Mayor of Georgetown, Mr. Dalida is among the last of its citizens who can give an oral history of the community.
