As a playwright, actor, musician, songwriter, and longtime teacher at Triopia High School, Ken Bradbury gets the citizens of Jacksonville involved in theatre. Each year Mr. Bradbury writes an original play which is presented by the students in his English/Drama class. People literally come from miles around to see this production. He has also written original plays for the Jacksonville Theatre Guild and the Theatre in the Park at New Salem, including a play about the life and times of Abraham Lincoln when he lived in New Salem. Mr. Bradbury also brought the history of the Jacksonville area to life in 2000 when the City celebrated its 125th anniversary and he wrote an original musical production loosely based on Jacksonville's history. Mr. Bradbury is also the author of several books, including a book based on his local newspaper column, ?Coonridge Digest.?
