According to Mayor Marilyn Sindles of the Village of Mundelein, ?no one has contributed more to literature, music, and the humanities? in the community than Michael Flynn. For the past fifteen years he has coordinated the village's highly successful Mundelein Community Days, a four-day event that brings virtually nonstop entertainment for thousands of area residents. And for the past five years he has coordinated Mundelein's monthly sutdoor Concert Series. Mr. Flynn is a member of the District 75 Educational Foundation, Mundelein Main Street, and a Project CAPE volunteer. Clearly Mr. Flynn has shown long-term dedication and commitment to promoting the humanities in his community and, for this, he is recognized with the Studs Terkel Humanities Service Award.
