Michael A. Lambert is honored for his commitment to historic preservation in the community of Plainfield. As President of the Plainfield Historical Society since 1996, Mr. Lambert has been instrumental in the preservation of an historic schoolhouse dating back to 1847, once slated for demolition by developers in Plainfield. In addition to his extensive involvement with local preservation issues, Mr. Lambert prepares and conducts presentations and seminars on the history of Plainfield and Will County. He volunteered more than 200 hours researching and reviewing historical information for the creation of the new Settlers'' Park in Plainfield.
