Molly McKenzie is honored for her tireless efforts to protect and preserve the historic landmarks of her community. As an employee for the Historic Site Manager for the Cahokia Courthouse/Jarrot Martin/Boismenue House State Historic Sites, Ms. McKenzie has gone above and beyond the call of duty to protect and preserve Cahokia''s historic treasures. She was instrumental in securing National Historic Landmark status for the Jarrot Mansion in 2001. In addition, she gets the whole community involved in local history through special events, public discussions, and storytelling.
