Puma

is known as the Village Historian in the Village of Thayer. In October of 2001, the Village of Thayer held its Centennial Celebration. She worked diligently on the event, which was a huge success in the town. Ms. Puma gathered memorabilia, pictures, and other mementos that surprised many residents of Thayer. Ms. Puma volunteers for the Illinois Valley Headstart Program located at the Thayer Community Center. Ms. Puma acts as chaperone for field trips, participates in the children''s activities such as telling stories and playing games.
