Fox River Grove
Penny Libert, a long-time resident of Fox River Grove, loves music. And she loves to share that excitement with the young people of her community. For nearly thirty years, she taught music classes at Fox River Grove School District 3, and directed and led the fifth-grade choir in the annual musicals and holiday programs. Her work in the community has extended well beyond the classroom walls. Despite the pressure of raising a family, she still found time to share her love of music with others by giving music lessons to local children. She also helped with the music programs for Cary Grove High School, work that continues to this day. Ms. Libert taught the young people of Fox River Grove an appreciation of many different varieties of music, inspiring many of her students to pursue music as a career. Penny Libert has volunteered countless hours to the children of Fox River Grove, and she still finds time to play the organ at Cary Methodist Church. Her lifelong achievements have enriched the lives of the many citizens of Fox River Grove and Cary.
