The position of ?theater producer? was not officially part of Stephanie FitzSimons? job description when she first assumed the duties of recreation supervisor in charge of adult programming with the Bartlett Park District. Nevertheless, her willingness to ?put on a show? the first time she was approached soon multiplied into a second production?and then a third and a fourth. Today she has mounted more than 10 years worth of community theater programming for Bartlett. Through Ms. FitzSimon's efforts, the community theater program in Bartlett currently hosts three annual productions?a traditional play, a musical, and a youth theater production. Past productions include such classics as ?Man of La Mancha,? ?Lend Me a Tenor,? ?Little Shop of Horrors,? and ?The Music Man.?
