There is a great deal of interest and misunderstanding about the role of women in the Muslim world. Based on Farhat Haq's research on the role of women in Islam and in Islamic Fundamentalist parties, she presents a sensitive and compelling portrayal of women's experience in this diverse culture.

The IHC Grant-writing Workshop includes an introduction to the work and statewide mission of the Illinois Humanities Council and its grant-making procedures. We distribute and discuss IHC grant forms for Mini and Major grants. In addition, we offer instruction on creating a competitive proposal narrative. We also offer individual consultations with IHC Program Officers.

A display case of historic documents and photos highlighting the 75-year history of The Illinois Conference of Churches (1930-2005). The exhibition details the statewide ecumenical organization's place in history, building bridges across the Christian denominational traditions and working together for justice to benefit the common good.
