PCC Westside AmeriCorps volunteers will discuss 'The Subjective Necessity of Social Settlements' by Jane Addams

The Meaning of Service (MoS) is a reading and discussion program for Americorps volunteers featuring discussions that use short philosophical and literary texts on the nature of justice, service, and related themes. Meaning of Service presents participants with the opportunity to examine, refine, and regenerate the beliefs underlying their work.

The Sycamore History Museum will host a brown bag lunch with local author and editor of "Rural School Journeys: A Legacy of Learning," Marcia Wilson. This history of one-room schoolhouses in DeKalb County was published by the DeKalb County Historical and Genealogical Society.
