A Road Scholar program by Katherine Davis & Erwin Helfer

This interactive music and lecture program focuses on how the different blues styles ranging from country blues, classic blues, contemporary Chicago blues, and school children's blues styles mirror and tell African American and American history and culture. It demonstrates the universality of the language and themes of the blues as well as the commonalities that all of us share. The program draws upon the artists' experience with diverse audiences in the US and overseas, adults, school children, and students.
