As a complement to two Fall 2005 exhibits in Chicago area cultural institutions, this project will bring Wasco basketmaker and scholar Pat Courtney Gold to present a series of presentations on Native American culture, including the role of women in Native American art, Native perspectives on Lewis & Clark, both historical and contemporary, and traditional basketmaking techniques and materials.
