Chicago Film Archives presents the premiere of newly restored films documenting the social and political disturbances of the late 1960s in Chicago. Cicero March, Black Moderates and Black Militants, and The People's Right To Know: Police Versus Reporters are accompanied by a panel of activists present and involved during these times.

Barbara Ransby, author of Ella Baker and the Black Freedom Movement: A Radical Democrastic Vision, will guide the panel in a discussion that explores the place of violence in our society...yesterday and today.

Panelists:

• Paul Sequeira - Chicago Photojournalist - documented the 1968 Democratic National Convention and civil rights movement
• Robert Lucas -Former member of the Congress of Racial Equality and leader of the Cicero March, 1966
• Bobby Lee -Member of the Black Panther Party today and during the '60s in Chicago
• Barbara Ransby - Moderator - Associate Professor of African-American Studies, University of Illinois-Chicago
