"As part of the Reeltime film and video forum, the Block Museum of Art will present ""In Whose Honor?"" This film investigates the debate over ""honoring"" American Indians as mascots in sports continues to spark controversy. This film highlights the University of IllinoisÆ questionable mascot, ôChief Illiniwekö, and serves as an insightful primer for this provocative issue. Filmmaker Jay Rosenstein, freelance journalist Rita Pyrillis, and Native American Activist Leonard Malatare will be present for the screening and for a film discussion. A musical performance by local Native American musician Mark Cleveland to precede the screening. A Native American dinner will be available for purchase from 7:00pm to 7:30pm."
