The Naperville Public Library welcomes ;"New York Times;" best-selling author Karen Abbott. ;"Sin in the Second City;" is a colorful glimpse into the seedy side of Chicago, and in particular the iconic Everleigh sisters. Their world famous ;"club;" often entertained the likes of John D. Rockefeller, Al Capone and Edgar Lee Masters. And where there are sinners, there are crusaders. Ms. Abbott's book also examines the reformers of the day, who were determined to see the brothels go and save America's soul. Ms. Abbott will be available to sign copies of her book at the conclusion of the program.
Registration is required to attend this program. Register through the Library's website, http://www.naperville-lib.org, or at any of the service desks at the three Library buildings.
