A Road Scholar Program by Friar William Burton

No biblical book has been as bizarrely interpreted as the book of Revelation (Apocalypse). This presentation will look at the background and context for apocalyptic literature as it is found in the only two apocalyptic works of the Bible: the book of Daniel and the book of Revelation. We know that apocalyptic literature was diffuse in the biblical world, but where did it come from? How and when did this genre of religious literature emerge?

This event is Free and Open to the public. For more information, please contact Richard Worland, Friends of Olney Public Library, 618.392.3711.
