A Road Scholar Program by Antonio Delgado

During the time of Lincoln the institution of slavery, territorial conflicts, war and other national crisis occurred in all of the Americas: north, central, south and the Caribbean. A visual presentation consisting of historical photographs, caricatures, maps, and other period images conveys the pan-American nature of these issues and the relations between the US and its Latin American relations.Comparisons are made between Lincoln, Mexican President Juarez and Puerto Rican abolitionist Betances. Language: Reflecting the language needs of the audience the presentation is delivered in English, Spanish or a bilingual format.

This event is Free and Open to the public. For more information, please contact Tim Roberts, 309.298.1053.
