The Peoria Reads 2009 programs will focus on The Maltese Falcon by Dashiell Hammett and the organizers will bring Julie Rivett, the granddaughter of author, and Kate Klise author of graphic, middle-grade mysteries for a series of presentations in Peoria area. The events will take place at local schools, area colleges, community centers, museums and the Peoria Public Library from February to March of 2009.
