This program addresses the abductions and murders of women in Juarez, as well as questions about immigration, corporate exploitation, violence against women and girls, drug trafficking and globalization. The program will include diverse art media such as painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and video, as well as educational outreach programs to complement the exhibit. The educational programs will include a scholarly symposium, sexual assault awareness and prevention programs led by Mujeres Latinas en Accion (social service agency dedicated to the empowerment of Latina women), teen programs at both Radio Arte and Yollacalli Arts Reach, community forums, documentary film presentations and performance pieces.
