The latest exhibition, "Come and Get it! The Way We Ate 1830-2008" from the McClean County Museum of History explores the changes in foodways of the people of McClean County from pre-European settlement through the modern day. The public programs associated with the exhibit will seek to further explore these foodways in order to show how food choices are deeply tied to cultural identity, individual beliefs, and community custom. The programs will include an international potluck dinner/oral history project, an interpretive bus trip to a local family farm, and a lecture series examining the historical and contemporary issues related to Central Illinois foodways.
