This program is designed to engage traditionally underserved audiences and stimulate an exchange of ideas on the impact of war on the American family. In conjunction with an exhibition of veterans' art, the Freeport Art Museum, in partnership with local chapters of Vietnow and VFW, has planned a public performance, speakers' panels, art workshops, and special exhibit guides to stimulate critical examination of veteran experiences throughout American history, foster a dialogue between veterans and the community, and ultimately enrich community awareness of the impact war has on American vets and their families.
