The Persephone Project provides incarcerated women with weekly writing and communications workshops at Lake County Jail. Workshop exercise/activities are designed to help women reflect upon their experiences, discover their talents and develop self worth. Writers, poets, and teachers lead workshops using well known literature to encourage reflection and writing. IHC funding supports year-long programming.
