A five concert series that will focus on different topics in the history of American Music: The presentations will include "Woody Guthrie and the Dust Bowl Ballads" by Clark Halker, "The American Ballad: Frank Sinatra and the Ballad in Jazz" by Michael Jeffers, "African-American Blues: A History" by Katherine Davis and Erwin Helfer, "The Best of American Jazz" by Bob Acri and Jason Koransky, and "Holy Ground: Woody Guthrie's Yiddish Connection" by Nora Guthrie. All the events will be held at the Skokie Theater, which has a capacity of 150 people, and will combine performance with historical information, content and analysis.
