The Southwestern Illinois College Foundation will produce a community co-authored exhibit and discussion on how people come to put a special value on certain unique objects (ubjects). Cultural historians and museum professionals will hold several training sessions for interviewers and will then offer a number of public discussions and hold interviews with community members in eight communities. An exhibit of ubjects and the stories behind them will lead to an exhibit at the Schmidt Art Center in Belleville in the fall of 2008.Grant Date:
