Now in its 6th year, Cultural Connections will again allow 23 Chicago-area museums and cultural centers to do joint programming. Started by Field Museum in 1999, the program is a partnership between Field and a variety of museums and cultural groups. The project includes public education events, teacher workshops, and special parent programming in order to foster a sense of community across ethnic and racial divides. The goal is to create a civic dialogue that promotes positive notions of cultural diversity in the modern world.Grant Date:
