The South Asian American Policy & Research Institute (SAAPRI) plans to write and disseminate a history of the South Asian community in Chicago from 1945-1965. SAAPRI will collect oral histories as part of this project which will then form the core of the publication. The organization will also offer four discussions of the community's history at various sites in the Chicago region.
