The Afro American-Historical and Genealogical Society, Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin Chapter, will conduct an intergenerational oral history project, raising awareness of the rich African-American heritage available in the Rockford community.

Upon completion, the oral history project will be made available in book and DVD formats for research and educational purposes.
