Chautauqua 2005 is a series of entertaining and scholarly presentations focused on the conservation movement of the late 1800s. It includes nightly performances of scholar-actors representing historical figures who played an important role in the conservation movement, daily lectures/discussions elaborating on nighttime presentations, outdoor activities for families, supplementary materials in print and on the web, and an exhibit of art prints showcasing "the west" from American artists.Grant Date:
