Nipundikan will create a documentary on the early history and traditional culture of the Illinois Indian tribes for which the state of Illinois is named. The documentary will feature interviews with scholars/experts in the fields of ethnohistory, archaeology, linguistics and with the descendants of the historic Illinois Indians - the present day Peoria Indian Tribe of Oklahoma.
