"Fa Sol La" is a series of participatory sings and public programs on 19th century popular music traditions and "shape-note" singing in particular. The Volunteer Pioneers will work with noted ethnomusicologist Tim Eriksen on three musical-humanities events, all during the meeting of the Midwest Open Air Museums Council. These events will include commentary, discussion, and musical performance and will be open to the general public without charge.
