This documentary focuses on the life of extraordinary antebellum African American pioneer, Free Frank McWorter. Born into slavery, Free-Frank became a businessman and entrepreneur who platted the town of New Philadelphia, Illinois, in 1836, and purchased 16 of his family members from slavery.
