The General John A. Logan Museum (JALM) will create an exhibit titled, "On the Banks of the Big Muddy: Brownsville, Jackson County's First County Seat" in conjunction with this year's Murphysboro Apple Festival.

The JALM will also produce and sponsor several presentations of river lore stories, early nineteenth century Illinois music, a living history presentation of Daniel Harmon Brush - an early resident of Brownsville and founder of Carbondale - and the history and archaeology of the Brownsville site.
