Martha Belluschi

received her B.A. degree in sociology from the University of Iowa in 1970. She provides traffic safety consulting services to government agencies, advocacy groups and businesses. From 1992 to 2001 Belluschi served as the DUI Prevention Advisor to then Illinois Secretary of State George H. Ryan and current Secretary of State Jesse White. She was the Executive Director of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in Illinois from 1987-1992. As a crash victim survivor, she is a leading spokesperson on drunk driving and safety belt issues. Prior to working on traffic safety programs, she was involved with financial services at the Harris Trust and Savings Bank in Chicago, The First National Bank of Denver and at the architectural firm, Murphy/Jahn. Belluschi also serves on the Women's Board at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) and the board of the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists (AAIM). She and her husband, Tony, reside in Chicago and Indiana.
