This discussion session of Literature & Medicine will feature My Own Country: A Doctor's Story of a Town and Its People in the Age of AIDS by Abraham Verghese.

This novel gives a doctor's account of the earliest AIDS cases in the rural South.

Literature & Medicine: Humanities at the Heart of Healthcare® is a discussion-based program that brings hospital staff together monthly to reflect on the larger mission of medicine through facilitated conversations about literature.
