The Goose Pond Lectures will feature scholars speaking about the black codes and slavery in Illinois, abolitionists and anti-slavery forces in Central Illinois as well as Abraham Lincoln and his anti-slavery views, particularly as they were expressed by Abraham Lincoln in "West Urbana" in 1854, at the Goose Pond Church.
