Einstein's Revolutions

Progam Title with atomic symbol & The Boeing Company & Motorola logos
In 1905 Albert Einstein, a 26-year-old patent clerk, published five remarkable papers that revolutionized physics and our understanding of the universe.

Einstein’s Revolutions brings together scientists of international reputation -- with philosophers, historians, artists, and a general audience -- to look at the impact of Albert Einstein's 1905 papers on our current understandings of the world, both scientific and personal.

This series of five programs will explore the way different fields understand the same notions, such as time, the relationship between science and the humanities, and the continuing impact of Einstein's ideas on science and technology. Importantly, this series is aimed less at explaining Einstein’s papers than at mapping out our accumulated knowledge of the universe, from the microscopic to the cosmic.

Please join us for conversations on time, the big bang, string theory, dark energy, maps, infinity, the ethics of new technology, the likelihood of additional dimensions, electricity and art.
