Barbara C. Adrianopoli

Barbara Adrianopoli has been a vital part of the Schaumburg community for more than 25 years, contributing to residents' access to literature and the preservation of Schaumburg's history. As Director of Branch Libraries/Extension Services for Schaumburg Township's District Library, Ms. Adrianopoli has successfully managed and presented workshops and advised staff on issues of diversity in ethnicity, age, gender, and disability. She developed a book program for Dixon Correctional Center, providing thousands of books to inmates. Ms. Adrianopoli was also a founding member of the Hoffman Estates Village Museum in 2004 and continues to serve the Museum as Treasurer. From 1992 to 2000, Ms. Adrianopoli served as Village Historian. She continually strives to ensure that all residents of Schaumburg are able to enjoy the resources the village has to offer. She has held volunteer positions held in many community organizations. According to Village President Al Larson, Ms. Adrianopoli "has been a positive force for good in the greater Schaumburg community. Her efforts, both professional and volunteer, have benefited those who need help the most."
