LuAnn Bombard
As Director of the West Chicago City Museum for the past 20 years, LuAnn Bombard has worked tirelessly to preserve and promote history and the humanities for her community. She has nourished residents' and visitors' appreciation for West Chicago's storied past through the administration of compelling exhibits like "Immigration: Building a Community," educational programs like "Passport to Adventure," and special events like the Currier-Reed Lawn Party and Heritage Days, which capture the essence of the West Chicago experience. Ms. Bombard has taken seriously and passionately her role has guardian of West Chicago's unique architectural treasures and put her understanding, technical expertise, and diplomacy skills to work on behalf of the city's History Preservation Commission. In addition, Ms. Bombard has championed the arts in West Chicago through her advocacy of public art projects and, as a liaison to the Cultural Arts Commission, initiatives like Gallery 200, a city-sponsored art gallery in the historic heart of the community.
